Hubpages is a great web property which is known for its unique content and social networking capabilities. If you are an expert on any topic, you can sign up and create your hub on that topic. It is an advanced form of blogging, which helps you publish your content online for free. Hubpages is an authority sites in the eyes of many, even Google. Several sites exist which are also like Hubpages, but each one has its advantages and disadvantages. Since Google loves content filled sites, it adores Hubpages and it indexes new pages within a matter of hours, or even minutes. Just like optimizing any site for search engine rankings, you can do it to your hub as well. When you are in the process of creating your hub, it will ask you to provide some keywords. You should provide quality keywords if you want to target a specific demographic. Hubpages requires no special skill as everything is very simple. Drag, drop or delete; that is all there is to the editing process of your hubpage.

When you create your hub, you will see a blank page with several boxes all over the place. These boxes are called capsules, and each one has a different purpose. These capsules add in content, pictures, video, RSS feeds, etc. If you do not want to add any videos, you simply delete the video capsule. Hubpages has a large user base, so you are guaranteed to receive some viewers from within the same network as well. The registration process is quite easy to get through and once complete, you will need to confirm the account. Creating a hub is just as easy as registration; you will need to provide a title and several keywords. It is important to do some keyword research prior to creating your hub. Your keywords are the main components of your hub which will be bringing in targeted traffic.

When you publish a hub, it will automatically be visible to the large user base of hubpage, and it is surely known to bring in traffic. Hubpage is still growing with over thirteen million users in its database. Your hub has authority, and linking to your site from it is good. It will pass on some link juice to your site. Someone will be likely to click through your hub to land on your site. The most important part of hubpages is to have unique content that is resourceful. You do not want to write an article with tons of keyword stuffing. Hubpage will look over your content and put your account on hold until you change your content. Depending on the quality of your content and page, you will be provided with a hub score. The higher your score, the more traffic it will receive. If you believe in pr juice, you can do some cross linking to gain some pr from your hub. If you are marketing a product, you should not write a sales page on your hub. Your hub is strictly an information source which is related to your product. Once the reader has established a sense of trust between you and them, then they will listen to your recommendations. Under recommendations, you can add your product.
