How do You Recreate Long Scene Hair for Yourself?
By microddot
You are probably considering how to change your hairstyle for that perfect effortless hairstyle. One of the most popular type is the long scene hair. Why are people so into scene hair anyway? Well, for one thing, it lets you express yourself. Usually people who are into scene decorations and accessories are the people who belong in the “emo” subculture.
Our hair has always been a representative of who we are. It’s generally one of the first areas that people look at when we meet them for the first time. Thus, they even coined the term “bad hair day” because your whole day seems to get affected just because it did not look as nice this morning.
So how do you recreate a long scene hair for yourself?
First, decide if you want this for a short time, like maybe just for a party, or if you want this for at least a month. If it’s just for tonight, then you may use hair extensions or even wig.
The key color to this style is black because it allows you to have colored streaks in several sections of the hair for a more individual look.
Make sure to cut or rather to chop hair in several irregular layers. This creates volume, and allows it to spike up in some areas of your hair. With scene hair, you want to keep it a bit as messy as possible. This gives out the image that you did not spend so much time in the mirror.
Make sure to grow the front sections of hair a bit longer and they should cover some parts of your eye. You could clip them a bit with cute accessories, to show a bit of your face. The idea here is to cover a bit of your face and create this air of mystery on you as emo people usually call for.
Hair has to be really straight and the ends should be razor sharp. That is why, it is so important to keep them healthy by trimming split ends regularly and conditioning your hair all the time. Remember having asymmetrical layers would need to be defined by sharp hair strips. Having split ends is a no no.
Now adding colors is up to you, usually you add blonde streaks in some areas or go as crazy as you want by adding pink or neon hair. Some even go as far as having print designs on their hair.
Another alternative is to dip the fringes in another color, for a cooler effect. For inspiration, check out Japanese cartoons or Manga for an anime look.
You also have to plan out several looks that you could work with your new hairstyle. Surely, you did not put up all these efforts just to have them washed the next day. Say, on Monday, you could tie up the hair from the back, then let other sections of it in front to frame your face. Then on the next day, you could add a headband or cute clips on your hair for a new look. Some even wear tiny jeweled crown for a princess “emo” look.
With your new hairstyle, comes a matching scene outfit as well. It does not help if your hair is all dolled up and your clothes are every bit as normal. Also when you style your hair, it should match your personality, otherwise people would look past them and see that you are not comfortable with such looks. A word of advice though, long scene hair attracts attention.
